Josh Dolan
Josh Dolan is a professional rider from Hilton Head, SC who serves as a trainer and rider at Mad Season, LLC, where he primarily competes in the hunter rings. Josh has achieved a wide variety of success as a rider: as a junior he was an accomplished equitation rider, acquiring a USET Talent Search Bronze Medal for winning 20 classes. He also found he had a skill for identifying and developing young horses, having particular success with Con Chino Z, whom he broke as a 3 year old and went on to win numerous equitation and Grand Prix classes with, even winning a 6-bar class with him by jumping a 1.90m jump.

Josh had a successful 2015, winning 5 year old young jumper finals, piloting the top scoring IHF horse at the Pre Green Incentive Finals and winning a USHJA National Hunter Derby with a horse competing in only its 3rd hunter class.
Outside of the ring, Josh is also a tremendous athlete. In his teenage years, he was a talented tennis player, training at IMG Academy with Nick Bolletieri and was also a competitive gymnast. More recently, he was named to the U.S. Olympic Penthalon Team (Running, Swimming, Shooting, Jumping and Fencing) for the 2016 games, but had to withdraw because of an injury.
In addition to his professional endeavors, Josh is the founder of The Peeps Foundation, a 501c non-profit organization dedicated to rescuing and rehoming miniature horses. To read more about the story behind its founding and Josh’s work, click here.
